Blessings + Believing: Part I

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post ever! Wow! What a whirlwind the last few months have been! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and allowing me to share my passion for photography with you. I love photography for many reasons... mostly because it allows me to capture a feeling, moment or memory and hold that special event frozen in time. Images can create such vivid reminders of the emotions and feelings we experience in our lives. When life happens so quickly and time passes over and beyond those treasured moments, we can take ourselves back to those times and relive them. The day you and your soulmate began your journey together as one, the birth of your child, your senior year of high school or your grandmother's 80th birthday... those sweet memories can be captured and remembered as if they happened yesterday.

For our first year wedding anniversary, my sweet husband gave me the most beautiful fiery orange tulips that were like the ones in my wedding bouquet. I loved them so much but I was saddened by the fact that they would eventually die and have to be thrown away. I wanted to make them last forever. So I did. Now this beautiful photograph of those very special flowers is displayed in our home on a huge canvas gallery wrap. I get to see them every day. This makes me so very happy.

Since I've mentioned him, I may as well elaborate a bit more about this amazing man who I have the honor of calling my husband. He is the faith and foundation behind me and has been my driving force from day one of this exciting journey. He pushes me to achieve the things I've only dreamed of in the past. He has been completely supportive, unselfish and giving. I couldn't possibly ask for a more exemplary partner who has truly been an answer to a prayer that I have prayed for many, many years. He is undeniably made of gold. I love you, Derrick.

xoxo,

K.
